Bombay Khichra

Ingredients
Mutton 1 kg
Wheat ½ kg soaked overnight
Barley 250 gm soaked overnight
Red lentil ¼ cup
Yellow lentil ¼ cup
Bengal gram ¼ cup
Daal Arhar ¼ cup
Rice ¼ cup
Oil 1 cup
Ginger garlic 2 tbsp
Chili powder 2 tbsp
Coriander powder 2 tbsp
Cumin powder 1 tbsp
Turmeric 1 tsp
Allspice 1 tbsp
Yogurt 1 cup
Brown onion 1 cup
Tomatoes blended 4
Green chilies 8 grinded
Coriander leaves 1 tbsp grinded
Method
Soak all the daals and rice overnight, boil next morning in 4 cups water till tender, Soak wheat and barley separately overnight, boil next morning in 8 to 10 cups water until tender, remove and blend, heat oil add brown onion, ginger garlic, all the spices, fry well add blended tomatoes and yogurt add mutton, cover and cook till mutton tender, add the blended daals, wheat and barley mixture to butter mixture, mix well, cook for 15 minutes till thick, serve garnished with fried onion, chopped coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chilies, ginger sliced, lemon and chat masala, give tarka of ghee.
