Punjabi Pulao By Rida Aftab

Ingredients:

  • Boneless Chicken ½ kg
  • Nutmeg 1 piece
  • Saffron 1 pinch
  • Bay Leaves 2
  • Green Chilies 6
  • Stock 1 cup
  • Rice (boiled) 2 cups
  • Ghee ½ cup
  • Mint Leaves ½ bunch
  • Mace 2 piece
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Black Cumin 1 tsp
  • Black Pepper 1 tsp
  • Ginger Garlic Paste  1 tbsp
  • Kewra Essence 1 tbsp
  • Star Anise Powder ½ tsp
  • Yellow Food Color ½ tsp

 

Method:

  1. In a pan, heat ghee add ginger garlic paste, black cumin seeds, bay leaves, nutmeg , mace, chicken boneless and mix well.
  2. Now add stock, salt, finely chopped green chilies, let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. After this, add boiled rice , star anise powder , mint leaves, kewra,  saffron , yellow food color and let it simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Removes from the stove.
  5. Delicious punjabi pulao is ready.
