Recipe Ingredients

  • Chicken boneless     ½ kg
  • Black pepper             2 tsp
  • Cumin seeds              2 tsp
  • Butter                          50 gm
  • Papaya paste            2 tsp
  • Green chili paste      2 tbsp
  • Vinegar                       1 tbsp
  • Salt                               ½ tsp
  • Potato (sliced)          2
  • Green chilies chopped      2
  • Ginger garlic paste  2 tsp
  • Tomato ketchup      ½ cup
  • Shashlik sticks           as required

 

Recipe Method

  1. Dry roast 2 tsp black pepper and 2 tsp cumin seeds on a hot griddle.
  2. Coarsely chop the roasted spices.
  3. Marinate ½ kg chicken cubes with roasted spices, 2 tsp papaya paste, 1 tbsp vinegar, ½ tsp salt and 2 tsp ginger garlic paste for 15 minutes.
  4. Thread a few chicken cubes in each Shashlik sticks.
  5. Heat 50 gm butter in a frying pan, put potato slices and Shashlik sticks in it. Cover and cook for 20 minutes till potatoes and chicken is tender.
  6. Remove in a platter, pour ½ cup tomato ketchup on top and serve hot.
