Aalu Matar ki Biryani is the classic combination of peas, potatoes and rice that tastes like pure bliss!

  • Rice 500 gm
  • Oil ¼ cup
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Green chili paste 2 tbsp
  • Potato boiled 500 gm
  • Green peas boiled ½ cup
  • Curry leaves 12- 15
  • Salt as required
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Whole all spice 1 tbsp
  • Yogurt ½ cup
  • Food color few drops
  • Screw pine essence few drops
  • Star anise powder 1 tsp
  • Coriander 3 tbsp
  • Mint 3 tbsp
  • Green chili small 3- 4
  • Tomato slices 2- 4

For gravy heat oil add ginger garlic paste cook well. Add curry leaves, green chili paste and all spices roast well till paste is formed. Add boiled potatoes, peas and little amount of water cook.
Mix yogurt, food color, screw pine essence and star anise powder in a bowl.
Mix tomato slice, green coriander, mint and green chilies in a separate bowl.
Add yogurt, tomato slices, green coriander, mint, green chilies and boiled rice on gravy. Add oil and food cook for 15 to 20 minute leave for simmer.


  • Beef minced 1 cup
  • Onion chopped 2 tbsp
  • Garlic chopped 1 tbsp
  • Green chili chopped 1 tbsp
  • Salt as required
  • Turmeric ½ tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Green coriander chopped 2 tbsp
  • Bread slices 3 sliced
  • Egg as required
  • Bread crumbs as required
  • Oil for frying

Mix minced all ingredients except breadcrumbs and egg. Add mixture in chopper blend well. Make small balls then coat with bread crumbs. Press slightly gives shape of cutlets. Apply bread crumbs from both sides keep in fridge for 10 minute. Heat oil in wok, dip cutlets in egg and fry in hot oil till golden color comes.


  • Chicken minced ½ cup
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Garlic chopped 1 tsp
  • Chicken powder 1 tbsp
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • White pepper 1 tsp
  • Salt as required
  • Sweet corn ¼ cup
  • Egg 2
  • Corn flour as required
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Water 3- 4 cups

Heat oil add garlic sauté well. Add chicken minced cook well. Add salt, chicken powder, white pepper and sugar cook till boil comes. Cook for 15 to 20 minute. Add blended sweet corn as well as whole sweet corn in soup. Add corn flour to thicken the consistency. Add lemon juice and egg cook more for 10 to 15 minute on low flame.


  • Ridged gourd sliced 500 gm
  • Oil 2- 3 tbsp
  • Onion sliced ½ cup
  • Fennel 1 tbsp
  • Nigella seeds 1 tsp
  • Whole red chilies 5- 6
  • Green chili julienned 2- 3
  • Green coriander chopped 1-2 tbsp
  • Salt as required
  • Black pepper 1 tsp
  • Cumin crushed 1 tsp
  • Lemon juice 1 tbsp

Heat oil adds onion sauté well. Add fennel, nigella seeds, red chilies fry well. Add sliced turayyan mix well. Add water leave for simmer. When it’s done add salt, black pepper, cumin, lemon juice and green chilies mix well cook for 1 to 2 minute. Add green coriander, serve.
