Ingredients for chicken marination:

  • Whole chicken 1
  • Papaya paste 1 tbsp
  • Onion (fry & blended) 1 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Roasted cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Roasted coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Roasted coconut powder 1 tbsp
  • Roasted peanut powder 1 tsp
  • Mustard oil ½ cup
  • Yogurt ½ cup
  • All spice powder (kabab chini) ½ tsp
  • All spice powder ½ tsp
  • Red chili powder 2 tsp
  • Long pepper powder ¼ tsp

Ingredients for garnish:

  • Onion rings as required
  • Cucumber as required
  • Lettuce leaves as required
  • Lemon slice as required
  • Coal 1

Mix all spices with yogurt and oil and put them on chicken and leave for 6 to 7 hours. Now put it in pan and cook on high flame first then cook on slow flame until chicken gets tender. Now give coal smoke and take out in dish and serve with garnish ingredients.

Ingredients for base:

  • Crushed biscuits 2 cups
  • Butter ½ cup
  • Nutmeg powder ¼ tsp
  • Cherries for garnish

Ingredients for filling:

  • Coconut powder 2 cups
  • Milk 1 cup
  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Flour 2 tbsp
  • Melted butter 4 tbsp
  • Eggs (egg yolks) 2
  • Vanilla essence few drops
  • Salt 1 pinch


Soak coconut powder in milk and leave for 4 to 5 hours. Now beat eggs well. Then add soaked coconut and mix well. Then mix flour, sugar, vanilla essence and butter. Now put this mixture on prepared base and bake in pre heat oven until it gets set and color appears. Garnish with cherries.
Mix ingredients of base and set it in pie dish. Bake in pre heat oven for 10 minutes then cool down and serve.


  • Taro (peel & cut) ½ kg
  • Tomato 1
  • Garlic cloves 4-5
  • Crushed red chili 1 tsp
  • Carom seeds ¾ tsp
  • Whole red chilies 4-5
  • Salt to taste
  • Turmeric ¼ tsp
  • Green chilies 3-4
  • Oil ½ cup
  • Lemon juice 1 tbsp


Mix tomato, crushed red chili, salt and garlic then blend them. Now heat oil and slightly fry whole red chilies in it. Now add round cut taro root, turmeric and blended spices then saute it. Add green chilies and carom seeds with ½ cup water and let it simmer. When it gets tender and little gravy is left then add lemon juice mix it and serve.
