Californian Sliders taste just as fancy as they sound. These are easy to prepare and serve beautifully at hi-tea parties.

  • Boneless chicken chopped into tiny cubes 2
  • Carrot grated 1
  • Capsicum finely chopped 1
  • Onion finely chopped 1
  • Chopped coriander leaves 2 tbsp
  • Garlic paste ½ tsp
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • Soya sauce 1 tbsp
  • Butter 1 tbsp
  • Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  • Tandoori masala 1 tbsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Mini buns 8-10
  • 1000 island dressing as required
  • Grated cheddar cheese ½ cup


Marinate chicken with tandoori masala, lemon juice and garlic, heat butter and oil, add chopped onion, carrots and capsicum, fry for 1 min, add chicken, stir fry till done, add soya sauce, coriander leaves, remove, cut open buns, spread with 1000 island dressing, then filling, cheese, bake on 170 d for 10 mins till cheese melts, serve hot.

Ingredients for pops:

  • Grated cheddar cheese 1 ½ cup
  • Salt & pepper ½ tsp
  • Chicken powder ½ tsp
  • Seasoned flour for coating 1 cup
  • Chili powder ½ tsp
  • Bread crumbs 1 cup
  • Eggs beaten 2
  • Milk 2 tbsp

Ingredients for salsa dip:

  • Tomato blanched and peeled 1
  • Onion finely chopped 1
  • Oil 3 tbsp
  • Chili powder ½ tsp
  • Black pepper ½ tsp
  • Crushed red pepper ½ tsp
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • Roasted & crushed cumin ½ tsp
  • Green chili 1
  • Lemon juice 1 tbsp


Method for sauce:

Put all in sauce pan, cook for 5 mins then blend, serve with cheese pops.

Mix cheese with salt and pepper, chicken powder, knead well, form into balls and freeze for at least 8 hours, mix flour with all the seasonings, coat cheese pops in seasoned flour, then mix egg with 2 tbsp milk, finally in crumbs, repeat this process three times, deep fry and put a lollypop stick on them.



Rice flour ½ cup
Semolina ½ cup
Flour ½ cup
Melted clarified butter 3 tbsp
Green chilies chopped 4
Coriander leaves chopped 2tbsp
Onion chopped 1
Salt 1 tsp leveled
Crushed red pepper 1 tsp
Water for mixing
Oil for frying



Mix together all the ingredients except oil, knead with water to make stiff dough, take a level full of dough on the palm of your left hand, flatten it with your right hand, make a hole in center, slit the dough into hot oil, fry till light golden and crisp, serve hot with chatni.
