Chana Pulao is a forever favorite dish that is easy to prepare and everyone at the dinner table enjoys it together. Have it with some shami kababs and raita to make the most of it!

Ingredients:

  • Rice, soaked 2 cups
  • Chickpeas 2 tins
  • Medium onion, sliced 1
  • Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Whole cloves 6
  • Whole black cardamoms 2
  • Green cardamoms 2
  • Cinnamon Stick 1 piece
  • Oil as required
  • Water as required
  • Crushed fennel 1tsp
  • Crushed coriander 1tsp
  • Green chilies 6
  • Yogurt 1/2 cup
  • Nutmeg mace 1tsp

 

 

METHOD:
In a deep pot, heat the oil and add the sliced onions and Garam masala Fry till the onions become golden .Add a splash of water and all the spices along with yogurt Continue to cook this until the onions soften and the water reduced to about half Add the rice, chickpeas and 3 cups of water. Cook the rice and chickpeas on high heat, Once the water has dried out, heat down to the lowest setting, add nutmeg mace and steam for 10-15 minutes. Then fluff up before serving warm!

Ingredients:

  • Fish steaks ½ kg
  • Butter 2 tbsp
  • Lemon juice 2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper as required
  • Crushed garlic 1tbsp
  • Vegetables 1 cup for serving

 

Method:
Put all ingredients on fish and keep it in freezer for some time. Then take out and grill it then serve with vegetables.
