  • Chicken 1 kg 16 pcs
  • Rice ½ kg boiled
  • Cumin as required
  • Bay leaf as required
  • Brown onion ½ cup
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp heaped
  • Fenugreek leaves 3 bunches chopped
  • Turmeric ½ tsp
  • Saffron ½ tsp
  • Chili powder 2 tsp
  • All spice 1 tsp
  • Tomatoes 3 chopped
  • Milk ½ cup
  • Butter 2 tbsp
  • Cream 2 tbsp
  • Oil ½ cup
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Green chilies chopped 4
  • Coriander leaves ½ bunch



Boil rice till ¾ done with cumin, salt and bay leaf. Heat oil, add ginger garlic paste with methi leaves, add salt, chili powder, turmeric, allspice with chopped tomatoes, fry well, add brown onion and chicken, cover and cook for 10 mins, add 1 cup water, cover and cook till chicken tender, add chopped green chilies and coriander leaves, spread rice over the chicken mixture, top with cream and butter, leave it on dum for 20 mins, serve garnished with hard boiled eggs.

Ingredients to marinate:

  • Mutton ½ kg small pcs
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Allspice 1 tsp
  • Chili powder 2 tsp
  • Coriander powder 2 tsp
  • Turmeric ½ tsp
  • Salt 2 tsp
  • Roasted and crushed cumin 1 ½ tsp

Other Ingredients:

  • Onion chopped 1 cup
  • Tomatoes 3 blended
  • Green chilies 3 julienne
    Oil ½ cup
  • Split red gram boiled 250gm
  • Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • Black lentil 1 tsp
  • Dry red chilies 6
  • Lemon juice ¼ cup
  • Curry leaves 15 – 20
  • Coriander leaves chopped 2 tbsp



Marinate mutton with chili powder, turmeric, dhania powder, salt, ginger garlic, cumin, allspice and salt for 30 mins. Heat oil, add mustard seeds, mash ki daal and dry red chilies, fry till light golden, add in chopped onion, fry till soft, add marinated mutton, blended tomatoes, curry leaves, fry well, add 2 cups water, cover and cook till mutton nearly done, add in cooked daal, cook till mutton tender. Lastly add lemon juice, chopped coriander, green chilies, remove from heat, serve hot with boiled rice.


  • Eggs 2
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Water 2 tbsp
  • Caster sugar 1/3 cup
  • Self-rising flour 1 ¾ cup
  • Oil for frying
  • Caster sugar to roll ¾ cup
  • Cinnamon to roll ½ tsp



Beat eggs, oil, water and sugar until smooth, stir in sifted self-rising flour, mix to a soft dough, roll 2 tsp of mixture into balls with floured hands, repeat with remaining mixture, deep fry balls until cooked and light golden, roll in sugar and cinnamon to coat, serve hot.
