  • Onion ½ cup
  • Oil ½ cup
  • Rice 2 cups
  • Tomato 2 cups
  • Spring onion (chopped) 2 cups
  • Green chili (chopped) 1 tbsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder ½ tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tbsp
  • All spice 1 tbsp
  • Cumin 1 tsp


Heat oil, fry onions well. Now add all spice and cumin. Cook for about 2 minutes. Then add tomatoes, green chilies, turmeric powder, red chili powder and coriander powder. Cook well. Now add Spring onion and cook properly. Then add water along with rice. Cook until the water dries. Cover and cook well. In the end add green chilies and serve hot.


  • Chicken breast (cooked, shredded) 1 cup
  • Egg 1
  • Cheddar cheese 1 cup
  • Plain flour ¼ cup
  • Spring onions, chopped 2
  • Paprika ½ tsp
  • Dried rosemary 1 tsp
  • Garlic powder ½ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper 1 tsp
  • Bread crumbs 1/4 cup

For Coating:

  • Chopped filo pastry as required
  • Oil for frying


Transfer the chicken to a larger bowl and pour in the egg, flour, cheese, spring onions, paprika, rosemary, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, crumbs. Mix together and then roll the mixture into balls using your hands. Coat the balls in filo pastry. Heat up oil in a frying pan and deep fry the balls for about 3 minutes. Enjoy!
