Ingredients for Rice:

  • Basmati rice soaked 500 gm
  • Salt as required

Ingredients for The Vegetable Curry:

  • Chopped carrot ½ cup
  • Chopped cauliflower ½ cup
  • Green peas ½ cup
  • Chopped potato ½ cup
  • Clarified butter 1/2 cup
  • Cinnamon 2 inch piece
  • Black cardamoms 2
  • Green cardamoms 3 to 4
  • Cloves 3 to 4
  • Nutmeg & mace powder 1/2 tsp
  • Fennel powder 1-1/2 tsp
  • Dry ginger powder 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Beaten yogurt 1/2 cup
  • Water 1 cup
  • Salt as required

Ingredients for simmer:

  • Chopped mint leaves 2 tbsp
  • Chopped coriander leaves 2 tbsp
  • Saffron essence 2 tbsp
  • Warm milk 1/2 cup

Ingredients for Garnish:

  • Roasted dry nuts 1/2 cup


Heat clarified butter add cinnamon, cardamom, green cardamom and cloves. Add cauliflower, carrot, potatoes and peas sauté well. Add ground spices cook. Add whipped yogurt cover and cook. Add layer of simmer ingredients and simmer for 15 minutes. Add roasted nuts and serve.

Ingredients for sponge:

  • Eggs 6
  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Flour 1 cup
  • Baking powder 1/2 tsp

Ingredients for Strawberry Crumble:

  • Crushed strawberry or vanilla cookies 2 cup
  • Salted butter 3 tbsp
  • Strawberry gelatin powder 1 packet

Ingredients for Strawberry Frosting:

  • Whipped cream 3 cup
  • Strawberries pureed 1 cup
  • Chocolate covered strawberries as required


Pre heat oven. For sponge beat egg well. Add sugar beat again. Add sieve flour and baking powder mix well. Pour in grease pan and bake for 25 minutes. For crumble mix gelatin, vanilla cookies and butter, bake for 5 minutes. Remove and blend in processor. Cut sponge in two pieces. Add layer of whipped cream and puree. Place second piece of sponge. Apply cream on cake side then crumble. Add puree and decorate with cream from the side of cake. Place chocolate covered strawberries. Let it cook and serve.
