It is a very easy simple pulao garnished with nuts, raisins and fresh fruits.

Rice 500gm
Sliced onion 1 large
Green chili 1 piece
Crushed ginger ¼ inch piece
Mint Leaves 10
Cumin powder ¼ tsp
Raisins 15
Saffron 1 pinch
Sugar ¼ tsp
Sliced almonds 10
Cashew nuts 8
Sliced walnuts 5
Sliced pistachios 5
Bay leaf 1
Green cardamom 3
Cumin seeds ¼ tsp
Black peppercorn ¼ tsp
Clarified butter ½ cup
Fruit cocktail 1tin


Fry nuts in clarified butter. Heats clarified butter then add onion with sugar to make it caramelized and set aside. Then add whole all spice in clarified butter then add green chili, ginger, cumin powder, salt, water and cook rice in it. While simmering add saffron, mint leaves and let it simmer for 5 minutes. Serve with caramelized onion, dry fruits and cocktail tin.


  • Fish ½ kg
  • Oil ½ cup

For Marination:

  • Salt to taste
  • Red chilies 1tsp
  • Turmeric ½ tsp
  • All spice powder 1tsp
  • Cumin powder 1tsp
  • Black pepper powder ½ tsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp

For Karhi:

  • Yogurt ½ kg
  • Gram flour 1 cup
  • Fresh coriander ½ bunch
  • Green chilies 4-5
  • Salt to taste
  • Turmeric 1tsp
  • Red chili powder 1tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1tbsp

For Tempering:

  • Fenugreek seeds 1tsp
  • Garlic 4-5 cloves
  • Cumin seeds 1tsp
  • Curry leaves ½ cup
  • Whole red chilies 5-6


Marinate fish with all marination ingredients then fry it. Blend ingredients of karhi then cook with required water until it gets thick. Take out karhi in platter then put fish and give tempering.
