Ingredients:

  • Mutton ½ kg
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Oil ½ cup
  • Onions (sliced) 2
  • Tomatoes 2
  • Ginger (chopped) 2 tsp
  • Green chilies 4
  • Red chili powder 2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 2 tsp
  • Cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Cloves 2
  • Cinnamon 1 stick
  • Black pepper (whole) 1 tsp
  • All spice powder ½ tsp
  • Naan (hot) for serving
  • Fresh coriander for garnish

 

Method:
Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add whole black pepper, cloves and cinnamon. Fry well. Then add sliced onions and sauté well. Now add chopped ginger, tomatoes, yogurt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, salt and coriander powder. Mix well. Then add mutton along with 2 cups of water. Cook until the mutton gets tender. Now add all spice powder, green chilies and fresh coriander. Lastly serve with hot naan.

  • Potatoes ½ kg
  • Peas 1 cup
  • Carrot 1
  • French beans 250 gm
  • Cauliflower 1 cup
  • Oil ½ cup
  • Onions (sliced) 2
  • Ginger garlic 2 tsp
  • Yogurt 250 gm
  • Cardamoms 6 (small)
  • Cumin 1 tsp
  • Fennel 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder ½ tsp
  • Red chili powder 2 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Coconut (ground) 1 tbsp
  • Coconut milk 1 cup
  • Spring onions as required

 

Method:
Grind the cardamoms, cumin, fennel, turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt and ground coconut. Then in the yogurt add ginger garlic and grinded spices. Mix well. Now heat oil and sauté onions. Then cut peas, French beans and the rest vegetables and add it to the onion mixture. Now add 1 cup of water and cook until the vegetables gets tender. Then add yogurt mixture and coconut milk. Cook on low flame for about 10 minutes. Lastly add green chilies and garnish the dish with fresh coriander. Serve hot.
