Pachrangi Khichri is definitely one of the most amazing ways to make and have khichdi. Its easy to prepare and filled with pure awesome-ness!

Ingredients:

  • Rice ½ kg
  • Meat 750gms
  • Daalchanna100 gms
  • Daalmasoor 50 gms
  • Daalgreen moong 50 gms
  • Daal black mash 50 gms
  • Ginger paste 1 tbsp
  • Garlic 1tbsp
  • Red chili powder 1 ½ tsp
  • Red crushed chili 1 ½ tsp
  • Turmeric powder 3 tsp
  • Black pepper corn 4-5
  • Cloves 4-5
  • Onion 2 large
  • Oil 1 cup

Green chutney:

  • Tamarind pulp 1 cup
  • Mint leaves ½ cup
  • Corriander1 cup
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Salt ½ tsp

Method:
Soak all daals for 1 hour. Heat oil and fry onion until golden brown. Add meat and stir until its water is dried. Add ginger garlic paste and all the dry ingredients. Add 2 cups of water and cover to cook till meat is tender. When meat is tender, add daals and cook, until daals are cooked . Add pre soaked rice and add water and cook until water dries and rice 3/4th done. Cover with cloth and simmer for another 20-25 mins.
Serve with green chutney and ghee.

Green chutney Method:

Mix everything in a grinder with required amount of water.

Ingredients:

  • Milk 1 cup
  • Strawberry pie filling as required
  • Chia seeds 1 tsp
  • Chopped dried fruit 2 tbsp
  • Ice as required

 

Method:

In a blender add Milk , Strawberry pie filling, Chia seeds , Chopped dried fruit and ice blend and serve .

Ingredients:

  • Gram lentils 1 cup
  • Whole Red Chilies 6-7
  • Ginger 1tsp
  • Black Peppercorns 5-6
  • Cloves 5-6
  • Salt to taste

Ingredients for Tempering:

  • Onion 1
  • Green Chillies 1-2
  • Cumin Seeds ½ tsp

 

Method:
Boil the lentils then heat oil in a pot add lentils , salt, splited red chili, black pepper corns, cloves, ginger and water. Cook until water dries out and daal is almost done. For baghar: Fry the sliced onion until golden and add green chilis and cumim seeds. Pour on daal. Serve with hot chapati.
