Tomato Fried Chicken
Chicken 1kg (cut into 8 pieces)
Garlic Paste 1 tsp
Ginger Paste 1-1/2 tsp
Green Chili Paste 1 tsp
Salt As per taste
Red Chili Powder 1 tsp
Black Pepper Powder 1-1/2 tsp
Cumin Powder 1/2 tsp
Mace and Nutmeg Powder a pinch
Cardamom Powder A pinch
Cinnamon Powder A pinch
Cinnamon Sticks 2
Oil 2 cups
Yoghurt 1 kg
Fried Onion Slices 1 cup
White Vinegar 1 cup
Boiled Potato 3 medium size (Cut into thick slices)
Tomatoes 3 medium size (Cut into thick slices)
Onions 3 medium size (Cut into thick slices)
Marinate chicken in garlic paste, ginger paste, green chili paste, salt, red chili powder, black paper powder and 1 tablespoon of white vinegar. Then sauté the chicken in oil and keep aside.
In the same oil, now sauté boiled potato slices, tomato slices and onion slices.
In a blender, make a mixture of yoghurt, fried onion slices, remaining vinegar, cumin powder, mace and nutmeg powder, cardamom powder and cinnamon powder.
In a wide saucepan, add the cinnamon sticks and the sautéed chicken. Pour the yoghurt paste on top and let it simmer till the chicken is almost cooked.
Now add the fried vegetables and German chilies and allow it to simmer a little longer.
Once cooked, serve the dish hot.
