Ingredients:

  • Chickpeas boiled 3 Cups
  • Yellow food color ¼ tsp
  • Potatoes cubed 1 Cup
  • Red chili powder ½ tsp
  • Red chili crushed ½ tsp
  • Cumin seeds roasted & crushed 1 tbsp
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • Chaat masala ½ tbsp
  • Dried mango powder ½ tbsp
  • Lemon juice 1 ½ tbsp
  • Water ½ Cup
  • oil ¼ Cup
  • Onion chopped 1
  • Curry leaves 10-15
  • Potatoes boiled & cubed 1 Cup
  • Tomato chopped & deseeded 1
  • Green chilies 1-2
  • Fresh coriander chopped as required

Assembling:

  • Yogurt whisked as required
  • Sev as required
  • Fresh coriander as required

 

Method:
In saucepan, add water and yellow food color with the potatoes and boil until potatoes are tender, then drain & set aside. Mix red chili powder, red chili crushed, cumin seeds, salt, chaat masala, dried mango powder, lemon juice, water and set aside. Heat oil, add onion and fry until light golden. Add curry leaves and the spices and bring it to a boil, add boiled chickpeas and potatoes, tomato, green chili, coriander and mix well. To serve top the chickpeas with the yogurt, sev, coriander& serve.
