Ingredients:

  • Chicken thighs (cubed) 6
  • Garlic cloves 5
  • Ginger (grated) 1
  • Sesame oil 6 tbsp
  • Honey 3 tbsp
  • Soya sauce 6 tbsp
  • Lemons (Juice,wedges)to serve3
  • Capsicum (diced) 1
  • Cooked egg noodles 2 cups
  • Carrot (grated) 1
  • Coriander leaves (chopped)½ bunch
  • Sesame seeds 1tbsp

Method
Mix the garlic, ginger, sesame oil, honey, soya sauce and lemon juice. Add half of this to the chicken and save the rest for the noodles. Mix everything together and chill overnight or for a few hours. Toss the cooked noodles with the capsicum, carrot, remaining marinade, coriander and sesame seeds.Thread the chicken onto earlier soaked bamboo skewers, grill, turning the skewers halfway, until cooked. Serve the skewers on top of a platter of the noodles with extra lemon wedges for squeezing over.

Ingredients:

  • Flour 150 gms
  • Sea salt ½ tsp
  • Bicarbonate of soda½ tsp
  • Unsalted butter 110 gms
  • Brown sugar 85 gms
  • Vanilla essence 1 tsp
  • Egg 1
  • Dark chocolate chips170 gms
  • Icecream or cream to serve

METHOD
Mix the flour, salt and bicarbonate of soda. Beat the butter and sugar until light and creamy, then add the vanilla essence and egg. Gently fold in the flour mixture and the chocolate chips. Divide the dough between 6 greased ramekins and smooth the tops. Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake in the oven at 180 degrees C for 13–15 minutes. They will still be quite gooey inside, but the top will be set, and they should be golden brown at the edges and just beginning to come away from the sides of the ramekins. Leave to cool for 5–10 minutes before serving. You can spoon a scoop of ice cream on top of each one or serve with cream.
