  • Boneless chicken 500gms
  • Oil 2tbsp
  • Cumin powder 1tsp
  • Salt 1tsp
  • Green chillies (chopped) 2
  • Onion (chopped) 1
  • Ginger garlic paste 1tsp
  • Vinegar 2tsp
  • Yogurt 1cup
  • Lemon juice 1tsp
  • Oil for drying
  • Ketchup for serving


  • Gramflour 1 cup
  • Water as required
  • Salt 1tsp
  • Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  • Chaat masala 1tsp
  • Coriander powder 1tsp
  • Rice flour 1tsp
  • Turmeric 1tsp
  • Carom seeds 1tsp
  • Baking soda 1pinch of
  • Dry mango powder ½ tsp
  • Chopped spinach 1cup
  • Potato (grated) 1
  • Onion (sliced) 1
  • Chopped coriander 2-3 tbsp
  • Green chillies 2
  • Oil for deep frying


Ingredients For The Sauce

  • Yogurt 1/2 cup
  • Garlic clove (minced) 1
  • Green chilli (chopped finely) 1
  • Salt to taste

In a bowl, mix together the chickpea flour and spices. Add 3-4 tablespoons of water until a thick batter forms. Add the vegetables and mix well. If needed add 1 tablespoon of water at a time until the batter is just coating the vegetables. Once the pakora batter is ready, set it aside. Heat oil. Using two tablespoons or your hands, drop the batter into the oil. Fry only a few pakoras at a time. Too many pakoras will crowd the wok and cause the temperature of the oil to drop and the pakoras won’t cook evenly. Gently flip the pakoras while frying so that they cook evenly from all sides. Using a slotted spoon, remove the pakoras from the wok drain in a large sieve to remove excess oil. Mix all the ingredients together for the sauce and serve with the pakoras.


  • Yellow lentil 250gms
  • Spring onions (chopped) 2
  • Coriander leaves (chopped) 2tbsp
  • Green chillies 2
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • Red Chillies (crushed) ½ tsp
  • Coriander (chopped) 1tsp
  • Cumin seeds (chopped) 1tsp
  • Baking powder ½ tsp
  • Oil for frying


Soak lentils for 6 hours, wash well remove skin and grind well, mix in it green onions, coriander leaves, green chilies, salt, crushed red pepper, crushed coriander seeds, crushed cumin, baking powder, mix all well, make into pakoras and deep fry in hot till golden and crisp. Drain and serve with a chutney.
