Ingredients:

  • Yellow split Pigeon peas 250 gm
  • Turmeric ¾ tsp
  • Oil 1 tbsp
  • Tomatoes 3 chopped
  • Onion 1 chopped
  • Green chilies 4 slit
  • Tamarind 3 small pcs
  • Water 3 cups
  • Yellow pumpkin peeled 2 cups
  • Seekh kabab to serve

Ingredients for oil tempering:

  • Oil ¼ cup
  • Mustard seeds ½ tsp
  • Cumin seeds ½ tsp
  • Garlic chopped 1 tbsp
  • Onion finely chopped ½ cup
  • Button red chilies 6
  • Curry leaves 8-10
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Chili powder ½ tsp

 

Method:

In a pressure cooker add daal, add pumpkin pieces, water, turmeric, chopped onion, tomatoes, green chilies, tamarind pieces, 1 tbsp oil, pressure cook the daal until it is perfectly cooked for 20 mins on medium flame, reduce the steam, mash the daal, add salt, chili powder, give tadka with the given ingredients, serve the daal with papad, boiled daal and chatni.

Ingredients:

  • Butter 100 gm
  • Sugar 100 gm
  • Flour 150 gm + 1 tsp baking powder
  • Eggs 3
  • Vanilla essence 1 tsp
  • Lemon juice 1 tsp
  • Blueberry filling ½ cup
  • Milk as required

 

Method:

Sieve the dry ingredients, keep aside. Beat butter and sugar till creamy, add vanilla essence, add the eggs one at a time beating well, adding flour alternately, pour a little batter into cupcake liners, put 1 tsp of blueberry filling, cover with more batter on top, swirl with a toothpick, bake on 180 d till done.

Ingredients:

  • Mutton 750 gm
  • Clarified butter ¼ cup
  • Oil ¼ cup
  • Crushed cloves 6
  • Black pepper corns 6
  • Black cardamom 2 crushed
  • Green cardamom 2 crushed
  • Cinnamon stick 1 inch crushed
  • Mace 1 piece crushed
  • Bay leaf 1
  • Onion 1 cup grinded
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Salt 1 ½ tsp
  • Screwpine water 1 tbsp

To make a paste:

  • Fried onion 1 cup
  • Dry red chilies 6
  • Cashew nuts 15
  • Poppy seeds 2 tbsp
  • Melon seeds 2 tbsp

 

Method:

Heat ghee and oil in a pressure cooker, add the crushed all spices, add onion paste, fry until slightly brown, add ginger garlic paste, fry until onion slightly brown, keep adding little little water, add mutton and fry for 10 mins, add yogurt, salt and the masala paste, add 2 cups water, cover and cook until mutton is tender. lastly add kewra, mix well, serve hot with nan or paratha.
