  • Mince grinded ½ kg
  • Papaya 1 tsp
  • Ginger garlic 1 tbsp
  • Whipped yogurt 1 tbsp
  • Brown onion crushed 2 tbsp
  • Raw onion chopped 1
  • Coriander leaves chopped 1 tbsp
  • Green chilies chopped 3
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • White cumin roasted 1 ½ tsp
  • Black cumin ¼ tsp
  • Black pepper ½ tsp
  • Button red chilies 10
  • Roasted and grind poppy seeds 1 tbsp
  • Allspice 1 tsp
  • Mace powder ¼ tsp
  • Nutmeg powder ¼ tsp

Roast and grind together button red chilies, poppy seeds, both the cumins and black pepper, grind well, mix all in the mince with ginger garlic, brown onion, ground finely, keep for 1 hour, mix in chopped onion, yogurt, coriander and green chilies chopped, knead well, make into flat tikiyas, shallow fry on medium flame on tawa, serve with any raita or chatni.

  • Brown onion grind 2 tbsp
  • Poppy seeds grind 2 tbsp
  • Roasted chickpeas grind 2 tbsp
  • Allspice 1 tbsp
  • Nutmeg powder ¼ tsp
  • Mace powder ¼ tsp
  • Oil ½ cup
  • Bread slice soaked in ¼ cup water 1

Ground all the above ingredients very finely except oil and mince, now mix this to the mince, and again grind finely, make koftas. Heat oil, add koftas, cover and cook koftas for 15 mins on very low flame, serve garnished with onion rings, tomato ring, lemon wedges and mint leaves, serve with any chutney .
