Ingredients For Patty:

  • Ground chicken 300gm
  • Finely chopped onion 1/2 cup
  • Finely shredded cheddar cheese 1/2 cup
  • Minced fresh cilantro 1/4 cup
  • Garlic, minced 2 cloves
  • Finely chopped jalapeno pepper 2 tsp
  • Ground cumin 1 tsp
  • Paprika 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly ground pepper 1 tsp

Other Ingredients:

  • Burger buns 2
  • Sliced onion for topping
  • Lettuce leaves for topping
  • Tomato for topping
  • Mayonnaise for topping


In a large bowl, combine the patty ingredients. mix lightly but thoroughly. Shape into 2 thick patties and cook them well, Serve on buns with toppings as desired.


  • Split green gram 4 tbsp
  • Red lentil 4 tbsp
  • Yellow split pigeon lentil 4 tbsp
  • Split gram lentil 4 tbsp
  • Split black gram 4 tbsp


  • Onion, sliced 1 (medium)
  • Tomato, finely chopped 2 (medium)
  • Dry red chilies 2-3
  • Curry leaves 10-12
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds ½ tsp
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder ½ tsp
  • Red chili powder ½ – 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Fenugreek leaves 1 tsp
  • All spice powder ½ tsp
  • Oil 2-3 tbsp
  • Chopped coriander leaves 1- 2 tbsp
  • Salt as required



Combine all the 5 lentils in equal proportion and soak in water for 30-45 mins, pressure cook the lentils adding 3 cups of water for 4-5 whistles. Then in a pan heat oil and add the mustard, curry leaves, cumin and fry them. let them splutter, add the onions and fry till they become light brown, add ginger – garlic paste and fry until the raw smell disappears. Now add dry red chilies, and stir, now add the tomatoes. cook till they soften and you see oil releasing from the sides, add all the spice powders – turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder and fry for a minute. Then add the cooked and mashed lentil. Stir well, add water and salt to taste.
Continue to stir and cook the lentil for 4-5 minutes in a low to medium flame.
Finally, add the crushed fenugreek leaves and all spice powder, add chopped coriander leaves. Panchamel daal is ready to serve.
