  • Rice ½ kg
  • Ginger garlic 2 tsp
  • Chickpeas (green) ½ kg
  • Stock 2 cups
  • Green chili (chopped) 2 tbsp
  • Black pepper (whole) 2 tsp
  • Cumin seeds 2 tsp
  • Fresh coriander 1 bunch
  • Yogurt ½ cup
  • Tomatoes 2
  • Onions 2
  • Ginger (chopped) 1 tsp
  • Oil ½ cup
  • Salt to taste


Heat oil and fry onions until golden brown. Then in a blender add ginger garlic, tomatoes, yogurt, whole black pepper, cumin seeds, green chilies and salt. Blend it well. Now add this mixture into fried onions and cook well. Then add 2 cups of stock and green chickpeas. Cook until the chickpeas are cooked. Now add soaked rice and water. Once the water is dried add chopped ginger and fresh coriander. Cover and cook for another 10 minutes. Lastly dish out and serve hot.


  • Surmai fish ½ kg
  • Black pepper 1 tsp
  • Ginger garlic 2 tsp
  • Caraway seeds (grinded) ½ tsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Rice flour 4 tbsp
  • Oil for frying

For The Sauce:

  • Tomatoes (grinded) ½ kg
  • Ginger (chopped) 1 piece
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves 8
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Onion (grinded) ½ cup
  • Oil 4 tbsp
  • Salt ½ tsp


Marinate fish with black pepper, ginger garlic, salt, oil, grinded caraway seeds and rice flour for about half an hour. Now heat oil and fry the fish well. Set aside.
For the sauce, heat oil and fry curry leaves. Then add grinded onion and cook well. Now add grinded tomatoes, chopped ginger, red chili powder, coriander powder and salt. Cook well. Now add fried fish, green chili, lemon juice and chopped ginger. Serve hot.

  • Onions 2
  • Tomatoes 4
  • Curry leaves 6
  • Red chilies (whole) 6
  • Green chili 6
  • Fresh coriander ½ bunch
  • Oil ½ cup
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Cumin 1 tsp
  • Dried fenugreek leaves 2 tsp
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp

Heat oil and fry curry leaves, cumin and whole red chilies. Then add ginger garlic paste and mix well. Now add round potatoes and fry well. Then add turmeric powder, salt and dried fenugreek leaves. Now add tomatoes, onions and green chilies. Lastly add fresh coriander and lemon juice. Serve hot.
