  • Wheat flour 1/2 cup
  • Sugar ¼ cup
  • Green cardamoms 2-3
  • Clarified butter 5 tbsp
  • Sliver paper for garnish


Take clarified butter in a pan and add the split cardamoms. Tip in the flour and continue to stir with a spatula until you get a nice brown color. Add half cup of water and stir continuously to avoid lumps. When it is thicker, add the sugar and stir. Keep stirring until you get the right consistency and the sugar is dissolved. Garnish with sliver paper.


  • Oil 1/2 cup
  • Shrimps (peeled and deveined) 500 gm
  • Bell pepper (seeded and Julian) 2 cups
  • Onion (Julian) 2 cups
  • Green chilies 4
  • Ginger garlic (minced) 1 tbsp
  • Coriander powder 1tsp
  • Cumin seeds 1tsp
  • Salt To taste
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Tomato puree 1 cup
  • Soy sauce 1tbsp
  • Chili sauce 1tbsp
  • Fresh coriander (chopped) 2-3 tbsp
  • Rice to serve


Heat oil in a large sauté pan on medium heat. Add bell peppers, onions, green chilies, garlic, and ginger. Sauté 2 minutes. Sprinkle in spices, sauces, salt, tomato puree and cook until oil comes on top now add shrimp. Mix well and sauté 1 minute. Cook uncovered 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle in fresh coriander. Serve hot with rice.
