  • Flour 3 cups
  • Baking powder 1 tbsp
  • Butter 45 gm
  • Milk 2/3 cup
  • Water 1/3 cup
  • Cheddar cheese (grated) 1 cup
  • Parmesan cheese (grated) ½ cup
  • Parsley (chopped) ½ cup
  • Tarragon 1 tsp
  • Oregano 1 tsp
  • Rosemary 1 tsp
  • Extra butter 15 gm
  • Egg yolk 1
  • Water 2 tsp


Sift flour and baking powder in a bowl. Rub in butter. Make a well in the center, add in milk and water and mix to form a dough. Knead on a floured surface and roll out to a rectangle. Combine cheddar and parmesan cheese and dried herbs in a bowl. Spread butter on top of dough using a brush and then the cheese mixture. Roll up dough from the short end. Cut into equal sizes. Arrange cut-side up in a greased and lined baking tin, combine yolk and water and brush over the slices. Bake at 210 degrees C for 25 minutes or until golden. Serve warm.


  • Cottage cheese (cubed) 250 gm
  • Green peas 1 cup
  • Lemon 1
  • Clarified butter 2 tbsp + deep frying
  • Onions (chopped) 2
  • Ginger 1 inch piece
  • Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste


Heat clarified butter and fry the chopped onions and ginger. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, salt and cook, adding a little water. Add the cottage cheese, all spice powder, peas and cook few minutes. Garnish with lemon. Serve hot with chapatis.
