Ingredients for sugar syrup:

  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Water 1 ½ cup
  • Cardamom powder 1 tsp
  • Rose water 1 tbsp

Ingredients for Gulab Jamun:

  • Boiled potatoes mashed 2
  • Flour 2 tbsp
  • Milk powder 2 tbsp
  • Clarified butter ½ tbsp



Method for sugar syrup:
Put all in a pan, cook till boiling, remove and cool syrup.


Mix all together and form into a dough, if you find your dough hard, add 1 tbsp milk, then add baking powder pinch, mix well till dough is soft. Grease your palms with ghee, start making small balls, take 2 cups ghee in a wok, deep fry your balls to a golden brown color, take out the balls on kitchen towel. Your sugar syrup should be warm, now put the balls in the syrup till balls absorbs the syrup. Lastly decorate the top with chopped almonds and pistachios.


  • Potato wedges boiled 1 kg
  • Ginger garlic 1 tbsp
  • Hot & spicy ketchup 4 tbsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Chili powder 1 tsp
  • Orange color pinch
  • Spring onion leaves ½ cup
  • Corn flour ½ cup

Ingredients for sauce:

  • Oil ¼ cup
  • Capsicum 1
  • Onion 3 halves
  • Hot & spicy ketchup 4 tbsp
  • Vinegar 2 tbsp
  • Soy sauce 1 tbsp
  • Honey 2 tbsp
  • Cheesy sauce 1 cup



Coat par boiled wedges with ginger garlic, hot & spicy ketchup, salt, color, chili powder and corn flour, toss to coat well, deep fry. In another bowl, mix all the sauce ingredients. Heat oil in a wok, add onion halves, fry till soft, add capsicum, all the sauces, mix, toss in fried potato wedges, garnish with spring onion leaves, serve immediately.


  • Chicken 1 kg (12 pieces)
  • Yogurt ¾ cup
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder ½ tsp
  • Chili powder 3 tsp
  • All spice powder ¾ tsp
  • Roasted & crushed cumin 1 tsp
  • Tomatoes blended 2
  • Potatoes medium peeled 4
  • Oil ½ cup
  • Star anise 1
  • Black pepper 4
  • Green cardamom 3
  • Cloves 4
  • Cinnamon 1 stick
  • Coriander leaves chopped 2-3 tbsp
  • Green chilies chopped 2
  • Cashew nuts grounded 4 tbsp
  • Desiccated coconut 3 tbsp
  • Onion 2 large
  • Green chilies 4



In a blender, blend together yogurt, sliced onions, green chilies, also add in it coconut and cashew nut powder, blend all well. Marinate your chicken with this paste, ginger garlic paste, coriander powder, turmeric, chili powder, allspice, cumin, tomato blended, mix all nicely, leave it for 1 hour. Heat oil in a pan, add whole spices with your marinated chicken, fry well for 10 mins, leave it on low flame till nicely fried. If required add 1 cup water, add potato pieces, cover and cook till chicken and potatoes tender. Lastly add coriander leaves, green chilies, lemon juice 1 tbsp, leave it on dum for 5 mins, serve with roti.
