Aalu Lobia Masala is a simple old dish that is a forever favorite. You can never get tired of it no matter how many times you have it.

  • Kidney Beans 1 cup
  • Onions, finely chopped 2
  • Tomatoes 2
  • Green Chili, slit 1
  • Ginger Garlic, paste 1 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Whole all spice 1tbsp
  • Red Chili powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Coriander Powder 2 tsp
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Dried fenugreek 1 tbsp
  • Potatoes cubed 250 gm
  • Oil 1/2 cup
  • Salt to taste

Heat oil in a wok on medium flame, add the Garam masala and let release its aroma into the oil. Add the cumin seeds and let it crackle. Add the ginger garlic paste and cook until the raw smell goes away. Add the finely chopped onions and saute until it turns light brown. Now, add the slit green chili, tomatoes, potatoes and simmer until potatoes are half done .Add the red chili, turmeric and cumin powder, mix well and let the mixture cook until the oil leaves the sides. Now, add the cooked lobia along with the water in which it has been boiled and simmer for 5 minutes. Slightly crush the kasuri methi between your palms and add it to the gravy along with garam masala and mix well. Switch off the flame, and garnish with coriander


  • Mutton boiled 1/2 kg
  • Raw mangoes 250 grams
  • Onion sliced 1
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Chopped tomatoes 1/2 cup
  • Oil 1/2 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Turmeric Powder 1 tsp
  • Coriander Powder 1 tbsp
  • Chili powder 1tbsp
  • Cumin 1tsp
  • Black Cardamoms 2
  • Cloves 3
  • Bay leaf 1

Add oil in a pan and throw in the whole garam masalas Now, add the sliced onion and fry well until nice and golden brown in color. Also add the ginger garlic paste and sauté then Add the boiled mutton and keri and mix well add the chopped tomatoes salt chilli turmeric ,coriander and fry everything together until You will get a lovely Bhuna aroma from the mutton Close the lid of the pot add 1 cup of water and cook until oil separated. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves .
