Beef Stroganoff is a Russian dish made with beef chunks and sautéed vegetables. It a scrumptious tasting dish that you must try.

Ingredients:

  • Beef undercut strips 500 gm
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Butter 2 tbsp
  • Onion finely chopped 1/2
  • Mushrooms sliced 1 cup
  • Garlic finely chopped 1 clove
  • Flour 1 tbsp
  • Chicken stock 1 cup
  • Cream 3/4cup
  • Sour cream 1/4cup
  • Worcestershire sauce 1 tbsp
  • Mustard paste 1/2tsp
  • Salt 1/2tsp
  • Black pepper 1/2 tsp
  • Green onions for garnish
  • Fettuccine pasta 250g

Method:
1. In a large pot, boil 3-4 cups of water, add salt, and 1 tsp oil. Cook the pasta until tender.
2. In a large pan, heat up the oil and cook the beef strips, about 2 minutes each side. Remove the beef strips and keep them aside.
3. Add 2 tbsp butter, melt it , add chopped onion and sliced mushrooms,. Saute for about 5-6 minutes or until onion has browned.
4. Then add garlic and saute for about 1 minute.
5. Add 1 tbsp flour and saute 1 minute.
6. Add in 1 cup of chicken stock, then add cream and cook 1-2 minutes.
7. Add in the cream and stir.
8. Add in the sour cream. And stir
9. Then add in. Worcestershire sauce, mustard paste , and season with salt and pepper. And cook for another 3-4 minutes.
10. Then add in the beef strips to the sauce and cook for another 2, minutes.
11. Place the beef gravy on top of pasta and serve.

Ingredients:

  • Potatoes sliced 3-4
  • Mushrooms sliced ½ cup
  • Butter 2 tbsp
  • Flour 1 tbsp
  • Milk 2 cups
  • Oregano ½ tsp
  • Thyme ½ tsp
  • Garlic finely chopped 1 clove
  • Onion powder ½ tsp
  • Nutmeg powder 1/8 tsp
  • Cheddar cheese 1 cup
  • Cream cheese 2 tbsp
  • Cream ½ cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper as needed
  • Green onion to garnish

Method:
1. Layer half of the thinly sliced potatoes in an oven proof dish.
2. In a saucepan, melt the butter and add garlic. Saute until fragrant.
3. Next add in the spices and cook for 30 seconds
4. Then slowly add the milk while stirring constantly
5. Next add salt and pepper according to your taste and mix
6. Add in the sliced mushrooms and mix
7. Then add the cream cheese and cream and mix. Cook until the sauce thickens slightly.
8. Pour half of the sauce on the potatoes and layer the remaining potatoes on top
9. Then pour the rest of the sauce on top.
10. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30-35 minutes
11. After that, spread the cheddar cheese and top and bake for additional 5 minutes or until the
cheddar cheese melts. Garnish with green onion and serve.

  • Tikka boti 500 gm
  • Shredded cabbage 1-1/2 cups
  • Shredded carrots 1/2cup
  • Mayonnaise 1 cup
  • Cream ½ cup
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • Black pepper ½ tsp

For Barbecue Sauce:

  • Onion finely chopped 1/2
  • Garlic finely chopped 2 cloves
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Ketchup 2 cups
  • Vinegar 2 tbsp
  • Water 1/2cup
  • Honey 3 tbsp
  • Light brown sugar 1/2 cup
  • Mustard paste 1-1/2 tsp
  • Paprika 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 2 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce 2 tsp
  • Salt, black pepper as needed
  • Sandwich bread as needed

Method:
1. Fry the chicken tikka boti in 1/2 cup oil, shred it and keep it aside,
2. In a bowl, add shredded cabbage, carrot , mayonnaise, cream, salt and pepper. Keep this coleslaw in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
3. Make the barbeque sauce:
On low flame, heat up the oil, then add finely chopped onion and garlic. And cook until translucent. Next, add in paprika, mustard paste, red chilli powder, salt and pepper. And cook for a minute. Then add in the brown sugar and cook for another minute. Then add in the ketchup, honey , water, vinegar , worcestershire sauce and cook for about 5 minutes, or until thickened.
4. Then add about 1.5 cups of barbeque sauce to the cooked chicken. And mix thoroughly.
5. Take your sandwich bread and place a generous amount of chicken mixture on top of it. Then add in the chilled coleslaw on top of it and serve
