  • Pasanday 1 kg
  • Poppy seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Onion paste 2 tbsp
  • Yoghurt 2 tbsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric ½ tsp
  • All spice powder ½ tsp
  • Salt as required
  • Black pepper powder 1- ½ tsp
  • Bay leaves 2
  • Black pepper whole 4-5
  • Black cardamom 2
  • Mustard oil ½ cup

Onion Salad:

  • Onion cut in rings
  • Vinegar ½ cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chilies whole 3-4

Marinate all of the above except oil, just add3 tbsp oil and leave it at least for 1 hour preferably over night. Heat oil until Smokey then let it cool a little, put bay leaves , black pepper whole and cardamoms and then put meat in it and let it cook on low heat until ready, serve with naan or boiled rice and onion salad

Onion Salad Method:

Onion rings soak and let the bitterness out. Drain, in a bowl add red chili whole and then vinegar and salt let it stay for a while then add onion and keep it.


  • Spinach 1bunch
  • Split Bengal gram 2cups
  • Onion 1 large
  • Garlic 1tbsp
  • Ginger 2tbsp
  • Red chili powder 2tbsp
  • Turmeric 1/2tsp
  • Cumin 2tbsp
  • Salt 1tsp
  • Oil 1/3cup
  • Tomatoes 6


Boil spinach and wash it with cold water and squeeze it to finely cut it. In a pan fry ginger, garlic and onion. Then in it add red chili powder and turmeric to cook for 2mins. After that add 1 cup of water and cook it covered for5mins. In a separate pan boil the chick pea lentil. Add tomatoes in the onion mixture. Then add cumin and mix it after drying the water. Lastly add salt and spinach and cook for 2mins to serve.
