  • Flour 2 cups
  • Sugar 3/4 cup
  • Unsalted butter, melted and cooled 113gm
  • Baking powder 1 tsp
  • Eggs 4

For strawberry puree:

  • Strawberries 1- ½ cups
  • Sugar 1 tbsp


To make strawberry puree, blend the chopped strawberries with 1 tablespoon sugar until smooth. Beat eggs and sugar until light. Add strawberry puree, flour and baking powder and whisk until the flour is incorporated. Stir the butter gently in the batter using a spatula. Grease and flour generously madeleine pans and shake off excess.
Fill each madeleine cup about ¾. Refrigerate the pan with the batter for at least 20 minutes. Bake at 190 degrees c for 7-8 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool on a wire rack before serving them.


  • Fish boneless ½ kg
  • Red chili Powder 1 tsp
  • Kashmiri chili powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder 1/2 tsp
  • Ginger Garlic Paste 1 tbsp
  • Carom Seeds 1/2tsp
  • Gram Flour 2-½ tbsp
  • Rice Flour 1-½ tbsp
  • Corn flour 2 tsp
  • Vinegar or Lemon Juice 1 tbsp
  • Yogurt 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Chat Masala Powder for sprinkling

Take all the ingredients except oil in a bowl and mix well. Heat oil for deep frying. Drop in fish and fry till golden. Drain on a paper towel and serve .
