  • Chickpeas (boiled) 1-1/2 cup
  • White lentil 1 cup
  • Tomatoes 250 gm
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Red chili 1-1/2 tsp
  • Onion 1
  • Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • Oil 4 tbsp

Ingredients for Oil Tempering:

  • Onion 1
  • Garlic 4 cloves
  • Bay leaves 4
  • Cumin 1 tsp
  • Clarified butter ½ cup
  • Green chili as required
  • Coriander as required


In a wok, heat oil and sauté onion until golden brown. Then add tomato, turmeric, red chili powder, mustard seeds and water. Cover it for a while. Once it is soft, add boiled chickpea and white lentil, cover for 10 minutes. Then add green chilies and coriander.
For oil tempering, heat clarified butter in a wok. Sauté onions until golden brown. Then add garlic, bay leaves and cumin. Now add to the lentil mixture and serve hot.


  • Chicken Tikka Pieces 4
  • Papaya 1 tbsp
  • Yogurt ½ cup
  • Green Chili Paste 2 tbsp
  • Coriander Paste 1 tbsp
  • Mint Paste 1 tbsp
  • Ginger Garlic Paste 1 tbsp
  • Tamarind Juice ½ cup
  • All spice powder 2 tsp
  • Cumin Seeds (roasted) 2 tbsp
  • Red Chili Powder 1 tsp
  • Oil 4 tbsp
  • Coal as required
  • Chicken tikka masala 2 tbsp

• Marinate chicken tikka pieces with yogurt, papaya, green chili paste, coriander paste, mint paste, tamarind juice, garam masala powder, roasted cumin seeds, red chili powder ,Chicken tikka masala and leave it half an hour.
• Now in a pan, heat oil add chicken tikka pieces and cover it 20 minutes.
• When they are tender, removes from the stove and give coal steam.


  • Flour ½ kg
  • Red chili powder 2 tsp
  • Cumin 1 tsp
  • Crushed dried coriander 1 tsp
  • Green chili 2
  • Crushed garlic 1 tsp
  • Pomegranate seeds 1 tbsp
  • Small onion 1
  • Mint 2 tbsp
  • Clarified Butter as required

In the flour add red chili powder, cumin, crushed whole coriander, green chilies, garlic, pomegranate seeds, onion and mint. Knead well and allow it to rest for about 30 minutes. Now make roti’s out of it. Then heat clarified butter in a pan and fry until golden brown. Serve hot.
