Ingredients:

  • Eggs 3
  • Flour 1 ½ cup
  • Castor Sugar 1 cup
  • Vanilla essence 1 tsp
  • Lemon essence 1/2 tsp
  • Baking powder 1/2 tsp
  • Baking Soda 1/4 tsp
  • Butter 1/2 cup
  • Sea Salt 1/4 tsp
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Butter milk 1/3cup

For The Icing:

  • Icing sugar 1 cup
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Milk 1-2 tbsp
  • Yellow food colour 2-3 drops

 

Method:
1. Pre heat oven at 180 degrees.
2. Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda & salt together.
3. Beat the softened butter & sugar.
4. Add eggs one by one while beating, followed by vanilla & lemon essence.
5. Then add lemon juice.
6. Now add the flour mix gradually.
7. In end add butter milk in the batter.
8. Pour the batter in the greased cake mold & bake at 180 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
9. For icing mix sifted icing sugar, lemon juice, milk & yellow food color together & pour the mixture on the cooled cake.

Ingredients For Base:

  • Flour 2 cups/ 250 gm
  • Unsalted butter 150 gm
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Water (approx) 2 tbsp

For The Filling:

  • Beef mince 250 gm
  • Onion (chopped) 1 small
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Red chilli flakes 1 tsp
  • Black pepper 1/2 tsp
  • Tikka masala 2 tsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Green chillies 2 large
  • Capsicum (chopped) 1 small
  • Black olives 1/4 cup
  • Soy sauce 1 ½ tbsp
  • Tetra pack cream 100 gm
  • Milk 100 gm
  • Eggs 2
  • Egg yolk 1
  • White pepper 1 tsp
  • Salt 1/2 tsp
  • Cheddar cheese 1 cup
  • Mixed herbs for topping

 

Method:
For the base, Mix softened butter, flour & salt together& make a dough while adding little water. It should not be very soft. Cover the dough & set aside for 10-15 minutes.
Now grease a quiche dish, roll out the dough & set it on the dish.
Bake the base in the oven at 180 degrees for 10 minutes, then take it out & set aside.

For the filling, Heat oil, add beef mince, when it changes its colour add ginger garlic paste & all the spices & cook well.
Add onion in the end and cook till its translucent.
Cook it until all the moisture is dried up.
In a bowl mix cream, milk, eggs, egg yolk, white pepper & salt together.
It’s time to assemble. Spread the beef on the quiche base, add green chillies, capsicum & olives on top.
Then pour the cream mixture on it.
Top it with cheese, sprinkle mixed herbs, & little chilli flakes & some green chillies & olives if you like.
Bake in pre heated oven at 170 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
