Ingredients:

  • Butter 30gm
  • Spring onions (chopped) 6
  • Curry powder 1 tbsp
  • Parsley(chopped) 1/3 cup
  • Cheddar cheese (grated) ½ cup
  • Flour 2 cups
  • Baking powder 1 tbsp
  • Salt ¼ tsp
  • Milk ½ cup
  • Water 1/3 cup
  • Milk 1 tbsp (for glazing)
  • Paprika for sprinkling
  • Egg 1

 

 

Method:
Melt butter add spring onions, cook until softened. Stir in curry powder, parsley and cheese. Set aside. Sift flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Add in milk and water and mix to a soft dough. Knead on a floured surface. Roll out using a rolling pin and spread surface with the spring onion mixture. Cut dough into 12 even sized wedges. Roll each section from the widest end to form a crescent shape. Place crescents on a tray and brush with milk and egg, and sprinkle with paprika. Bake at 210 degrees C for 15 minutes or until golden. Transfer to a wire rack and cover with a clean tea towel to keep the scones soft. Best eaten the same day.

Ingredients:

  • Lemon juice 1/4 cup
  • Yogurt 500 gm
  • Caster sugar 1/4 cup
  • Cream 2 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder a pinch
  • Vanilla essence few drops
  • Orange zest 1 tsp

 

Method:
Beat yogurt and turmeric powder. Add cream, caster sugar, vanilla essence and lemon juice. Pour the yogurt mixture in an airtight box and freeze it for 2 hours. Take the frozen yogurt box out of the freezer and stir well, return to the freezer and keep overnight. Take out of freezer few minutes before serving. Serve in scoops with orange zest on top.
