Upside Down Kiwi Trifle Recipe | Dawat

Ingredients:

  • Heavy cream 1 cup
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Sugar ¼ cup
  • Pound cake 1 cup
  • Kiwi rings 4
  • Pineapple rings ½ cup
  • Orange rings 2
  • Cherries for garnish
  • Mint leaves for garnish

 

Method:
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap. Then whip cream. Now add yogurt and sugar. Mix well. Then cut the cake slices. Now in a bowl spread kiwi rings, orange rings and pineapple rings. Then add the layer of cream, then cake, then cream, again fruits and cover with cake. Allow it to cool. Now place it in a serving platter. In the end garnish with cherries and mint leaves. Serve.

Ingredients:

  • Mutton ½ kg
  • Onion (sliced) 1 large
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 ½ tbsp
  • Water 2-3 litres
  • Mustard 1 kg
  • Green chilies 3
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Cloves 8-10
  • Cinnamon’s 2
  • Black pepper (whole) 10-12
  • Green cardamoms 2
  • Black cardamom 1
  • Cumin 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder ½ tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as required
  • Tomatoes (chopped) 3-4 medium
  • Scaillons (chopped) for garnish
  • Green chilies (chopped) for garnish
  • Fresh coriander (chopped) for garnish

 

Method:
Cook mustard in the water for about 4-5 hours and grind it. Then heat oil add onion and mutton, saute well. Now add cloves, cinnamon’s, whole black pepper, green cardamoms, black cardamom and cumin. Cook well. Then add coriander powder, red chili powder and salt. Cook well until the mutton gets tender. Now add toamotes, cooked mustard, scallions, green chilies and fresh coriander. In the end serve with Chawal ka chilla.

  • Rice flour 1 cup
  • Salt 1 pinch
  • Water as required

 

Method:
In a bowl mix rice flour and salt. Then add water and make a thick batter. Now heat oil in a frying pan and add ½ cup batter and spread evenly. Once it is half done apply oil and toast. Serve hot.
