  • Cauliflower (medium) 1 cup
  • Potato (chopped) 1 cup
  • French beans (chopped) 1 cup
  • Carrots (sliced) 1 cup
  • Fresh peas 1 cup
  • Capsicum 1
  • Spinach 1
  • Tomato (chopped) 1 cup
  • Cashew paste 2 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Butter 2 tbsp
  • Oil ¼ cup
  • Bay leaf 1
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Green chili (slit) 3
  • Fenugreek leaves 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder ½ tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Low fat cream 2-3 tbsp
  • Sugar ½ tsp
  • Salt as required
  • Cumin 1 tsp

For Garnishing:

  • Fresh coriander few leaves
  • Ginger (julienne) ½ inch
  • Lemon as required


Steam all the vegetables except capsicum and spinach. Then heat oil, add cumin and bay leaf. Sauce well. Now add tomatoes and ginger garlic paste. Once the tomatoes are tender add red chili powder, salt and turmeric powder. Mix well. Now add steamed vegetables, cashew paste and sugar. Cook well. Then add all spice powder, fenugreek leaves, green chili, capsicum and spinach. Cover and cook for a while. Now add cream and butter, mix well and turn off the stove. In the end serve with fresh coriander, ginger and lemon.


Beef bong ½ kg
Shank meat ½ kg
Clarified butter ½ cup
Onion (sliced) 3
Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
Salt as required
All spice powder 2 tsp
Red chili powder 1 ½ – 2 tbsp
Fennel powder 1 tsp
Dry ginger powder 1 tsp
Flour ½ cup
Star Anise 1

For Garnish:
Green chili 5
Fresh coriander ¼ cup
Lemon 2
Ginger 1 piece


First cook the shank meat and make stock out of it. Then heat clarified butter, fry onions and add beef bong. Cook well. Now add ginger garlic paste along with 1/2 cup water, cook for about 2 minutes. Then add red chili powder and salt. Now add stock, dry ginger powder, fennel powder and star anise. Cook until the beef becomes tender. Once it is tender, dissolve flour in the water and add to the beef mixture, cook for another 15 minutes. Now temper with 2 onions. In the end garnish with all spice powder, green chili, ginger, fresh coriander and lemon. Serve hot.
