Asian Pasta Salad is the right way to keep it healthy this time around. We never knew a salad could be this wholesome and tasteful until we tried making it this way.

  • Carrot (sliced lengthwise) 1
  • Green cabbage (shredded) 1 ½ cup
  • Red cabbage (shredded) 1 cup
  • Fresh basil (chopped) 10-12 leaves
  • Pasta (boiled) 1 ½ cup
  • Salad leaves for garnish


  • Brown sugar 1 tbsp
  • Ginger (crushed) 1 tbsp
  • Garlic (crushed) ½ tsp
  • Olive oil 2 tbsp
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Crushed Red pepper 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste



Put all the ingredients in a bottle and shake well.


Mix all the ingredients together. Add boiled pasta and mix well. Pour the dressing over the salad. Mix well. Serve on the bed on salad leaves.


  • Prawns ½ kg cleaned
  • Rice ½ kg
  • Green chilies 30
  • Coriander leaves ½ bunch
  • Fenugreek leaves 3 bunches
  • Brown onion ¼ cup
  • Coriander powder 2 tsp
  • Salt 2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder a pinch
  • Cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Tomatoes 2 chopped
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Potatoes 2 cut in cubes
  • Oil as required



Grind together green chilies and coriander leaves. Soak rice for 30 mins. Heat oil, add fenugreek leaves with brown onion and grinded green masala, coriander powder, cumin powder, salt, turmeric, chopped tomatoes and chopped potatoes with ½ cup water, cook for 10 mins, then add yogurt and prawns, cover and cook for 10 mins. Now add the soaked rice with 2 cups water, cover and cook till rice done, leave on dum for 10 mins. Serve with kachumber.


  • Milk ¼ litre
  • Sugar 250 gm
  • Bread slices 4
  • Whole dried milk 1 cup
  • Pistachios chopped 50 gm
  • Screwpine 1 tbsp
  • Cardamom green ground ½ tsp
  • Butter 2 tbsp



Soak 4 bread slices in half litre milk for 2 hours. Now blend well and keep aside. Now put this mixture in a wok and cook over low flame, stirring continuously till water dries, add sugar, ground green cardamom and kewra water, cook over low flame, also add crumbled khoya. Grease tray with 2 tbsp butter, pour bread mixture in it and bake in a pre-heated at oven for 30 min. Now remove and cut into pieces, sprinkle with chopped pistachios and serve.


  • Grated radish 500 gm
  • Chili powder 1 tsp
  • Dried mango powder 1 tsp
  • Fennel seeds ½ tsp
  • Mustard seeds ½ tsp
  • Onion seeds ½ tsp
  • Chaat masala 1 tbsp
  • Tamarind pulp 2 tbsp
  • Mint leaves ½ bunch
  • Gram flour 2 tbsp
  • Salt 1 tsp

Ingredients for Parathas:

  • Wheat flour 2 cups
  • Clarified butter for frying
  • Flour 1 cup
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Crushed cumin 1 tbsp
  • Crushed coriander 1 tbsp
  • Chili powder 1 tsp
  • Water to knead



In a bowl mix together grated radish, chili powder, dry mango powder, fennel seeds, mustard seeds, onion seeds, chat masala, tamarind pulp, coriander leaves, gram flour and salt, mix well and keep aside. In another bowl mix together wheat flour, flour, salt, crushed cumin, crushed coriander and chili powder, mix well and knead to dough with water as required, form into small balls, roll each ball, spread with prepared filling, cover with other roti, press the edges well, shallow fry with a little ghee till golden brown.
