Makhani Dum Biryani Recipe

Ingredients

  • Cottage cheese                                                200 gram
  • Boiled peas                                         1 cup
  • Boiled potatoes                                                1 cup
  • Boiled carrot                                      1
  • Raisins                                                  ½ cup
  • Cashew nuts                                      ½ cup
  • Fry onion                                             ½ cup
  • Ingredients for rice:
  • Sela rice                                               ½ kg
  • Whole all spice                                  1 tbsp
  • Salt                                                         to taste
  • Ingredients for Makhani gravy:
  • Onion (boiled &blended)             2 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste                           1 tbsp
  • Cashew powder                                               2 tbsp
  • Salt                                                         to taste
  • Red chili                                               as required
  • Turmeric                                              as required
  • Dried fenugreek                               1 tsp
  • Nutmeg, mace                                  ½ tsp
  • Mint                                                      1 bunch
  • Butter                                                   ½ cup
  • Oil                                                           2 tbsp
  • All spice powder                               ½ tsp
  • Cream                                                   2 tbsp
  • Saffron                                                 as required
  • Lemon juice                                       2 tbsp

Methods

  1. Heat butter and oil in a pan and add all ingredients of gravy and saute it well.
  2. Then add cottage cheese, peas, potatoes and carrot.
  3. Mix them well and put it on dum for 5 minutes.
  4. Then add mint and lemon juice in the end.
  5. Now boil rice with salt and whole all spice.
  6. Then add ½ cup water and 2 tbsp oil in a large pan and add half rice.
  7. Then add makhani masala, then rice.
  8. Then dissolve saffron in water and add it as well and let it simmer.
  9. Now take out in dish and garnish with raisins, cashew nut and fry onion.
