  • Semolina 2 ups
  • Gram flour 1 cup
  • Yogurt 1 ¼ cup
  • Cumin seeds crushed ½ tsp
  • Turmeric ¼ tsp
  • food salt 2 tsp
  • Garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Green chilies 4 grinded
  • Coriander leaves cube stalks few
  • Red chili powder for topping
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Salt 1 tsp

Mix all the dry ingredients except eno, add yogurt, mix well, add 1 cup hot water, oil, garlic, green chilies and make into a thick batter, take a pan, big enough to hold a 10 inch tray, ¼ fill the pan with water and place a fine flat sieve in the pan, grease 10 inch tray and place on top of the sieve, divide the batter into half. In another bowl, add 1 tsp eno to this and mix well, pour this mixture into the greased tray, cover the pan with a lid, and keep until dry about 10 mins, remove the lid for the last min of steaming, when cool gently remove the dhokra out of the tray, decorate with chili powder and whole coriander leaves, steam the remaining half of the mixture in the same tray.


  • Broken wheat ¼ kg
  • Jaggery 125 gm
  • Butter 8 ounces
  • Desiccated coconut 4 tbsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Raisins 2 tbsp
  • Fennel seeds 1 tbsp
  • Cardamom ground 1 tsp
  • Evaporated milk ¼ tin
  • Nutmeg ½ tsp
  • Yellow color few drops
  • Almonds ground for decorating
  • Pistachios ground for decorating
  • Boiling water as required

Dissolve the jaggery in boiling water, add yellow color leave aside. Melt butter and oil, add fennel seeds, add the broken wheat, fry slowly over medium heat until light brown and crisp, mix in the desiccated coconut, fry for few mins, slowly add the prepared liquid stirring continuously, add the remaining ingredients except milk, cook over low heat for 15 mins until almost the liquid has been absorbed, add milk, mix well and put it in the oven covered for 15 mins on 160 d, sprinkle almonds and pistachio, serve.


  • Chicken fillet 4
  • Yogurt 4 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves 6 – 8 stock
  • Green chilies 3
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Ginger 1 small piece
  • Tomato puree 2 tbsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Chicken tikka masala 2 tbsp
  • Oil for frying
  • Ingredients for garnishing
  • Tomato sliced 1
  • Onion cut in rings 1
  • Capsicum 1

Pound the chicken steak to flatten them, grind together green chilies, coriander leaves, ginger garlic in a blender, mix the paste with a yogurt, salt tomato puree and tikka masala, marinate your tikka pieces in this for 30 mins. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a frying pan and fry chicken on both the sides until done, remove and place the chicken steak on a serving dish, fry the leftover marinade until quite thick, adding little water, pour this sauce over the steak pieces, garnish with tomato, onions and capsicum rings, serve with boiled whole big potato.

  • Vanilla essence 1tsp
  • Yogurt 2 tbsp
  • Husk 1 tablespoon
  • Ice 1 cup
  • Milk 1 cup

Blend all and serve chilled
