For Matar Paste:

  • Peas (boiled) 1½ cup
  • Fresh coriander handful
  • Onion (chopped) 1
  • Green chilies (chopped) 2-3
  • Water as required
  • Garlic 2 cloves

Other Ingredients:

  • Flour 2 cups
  • Cumin 1 tsp
  • All spice powder ½ tsp
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • Oil 2 tsp
  • Water as required
  • Clarified butter for roasting


Firstly in a blender take peas, fresh coriander, garlic, onion and 2 green chilies
Blend for seconds with water. Now prepare dough by taking 2 cup wheat flour in a large mixing bowl. Also add cumin, all spice powder, salt and 2 tsp oil. Mix well making sure all the spices are combined well. Add in prepare peas paste and knead dough. Further pinch ball sized dough, roll and flatten it. Also dust with some wheat flour. Further roll it in a thin circle like chapati or paratha. Now cook the peas paratha on hot tawa pan adding clarified butter. Lastly serve hot.

Ingredients For Cashew Paste:

  • Onion 1 medium
  • Cashews 5
  • Almonds 5
  • Melon seeds 1 tbsp

Vegetables For Navratan Qorma:

  • Carrots 1/2 cup
  • Cauliflower 1/2 cup
  • Potato 1/2 cup
  • Green peas 1/2 cup
  • Corns 1/2 cup
  • Tomatoes 1/2 cup

For Navratan Qorma Gravy:

  • Oil 1/4 cup
  • Bay leaf 1
  • Cumin 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Water 1 ½ cup
  • Salt to taste

Other Ingredients:

  • Cream 1/2 cup
  • Fenugreek leaves 1 tbsp


In the blender add onion, cashew, almonds and melon seeds. Blend to a smooth paste Set aside. Add oil in a pot and once it’s hot add add the bay leaf, cumin and let the cumin crackle. Then add the onion, cashew paste and sauté for 3-4 minutes or until onion mixture turns light brown in color. Now add the mixed vegetables, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, water and combine well.
Close the lid and let it simmer on medium high flame for 8-10 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Add the cream. Fenugreek leaves and all spice powder. Stir well. Adjust consistency at this stage and, Navratan Korma is ready.
